How much are the accreditation fees?
EEiB 2020 accreditation costs £500. EEiB 2050 accreditation costs £1500. On rare occasions, additional on-site days may be required for larger organisations, these are charged at £400 per day.
How long does the accreditation take?
EEiB 2020 accreditation takes 1 day. EEiB 2050 accreditation takes up to two days and includes a further follow up visit 4-6 weeks after accreditation.
What is EEiB accreditation?
EEiB accreditation recognises a business’s efforts in becoming energy efficient. The three main focuses are to save energy, save money, and save the environment. Accredited business’s receive certificates showing their commitment to energy efficiency and can display the EEiB logo on company stationery, websites and marketing materials.
When will my business become accredited?
You will become accredited as soon as you have completed your assessment and received your Action Plan. Your certificate and membership pack will arrive with 14 days of your assessment date.
What happens in the assessment?
The assessment is divided into three units. Scene Setting – What we do, what difference can we make, CSR and Environment Policies explained. Then a full EcoCheck carried out by the specialist to highlight all the ways the business can reduce its energy consumption and save money. And finally Training – how can you leverage you energy efficient business to increase your profile and gain new opportunities.
What do I need to do before the assessment?
Complete the Pre Site Visit Checklist and pay the pro-forma invoice. You do not need to start implementing ways to save energy; our Specialist will run a full EcoCheck to highlight everything in your Action Plan.
How soon can my business become accredited?
Assessment availability ranges from two weeks to 6 weeks depending on where you are in the country. Call us on 0845 5678 100 to book the next available date.
How much money will the accreditation save me each year?
On average a business can save £3500 per annum through implementing points in their Action Plan. Obviously, larger businesses can save vastly more. There are also the intangible financial benefits of having good CSR documentation and Environment Policies adding to a better company profile.
What happens if the Energy Specialist can’t finish the EcoCheck in the specified time period?
The Energy Specialist will notify you after completing the department breakdown, if the EcoCheck is going to take longer than the allotted time. Additional EcoCheck days are charged at £400 per day. This only occurs in situations where the business occupies premises substantially larger than the average for that number of staff.

What is EEiB?
Energy Efficiency in Business (EEiB) is an organisation that gives practical on site help to initiate and maintain good energy efficient practices in the workplace. Going green in business is a responsible, forward thinking, and financially beneficial process that is quickly becoming more and more of a necessity.
How do I know if my business is eligible for funding?
If you have 5 or more full time employees and have not received Leadership and Management funding in the last three years then you are more than likely eligible for funding.
I have more than one office/branch location?
Additional EcoCheck days are charged at £400 per day and can be at any location in the country.
How much is the annual membership?
The annual membership fee is £250 for EEiB 2020 members and £350 for EEiB 2050 members.
